Looks like the PLIP-mini-HOWTO is unmaintained. Does somebody want to

There's a typo in the mail address you posted:
it's [email protected]

It's the last known address for me, maybe I can do some heavy digging.
You can try to look for his address using deja.com, look for "Controzzi"
cross-referencing with the newsgroup "it.arti.cartoni".
